There are 9 .el files in Remember. In my view only remember.el is worth
installing.

As the current maintainer of remember.el, I would be in favor of it. It
would make life easier for those who use Org mode, since the two can be
used together. It would also have the benefit of allowing more people
to make changes to the code -- it hasn't changed much in a year or two.

In addition to remember.el, we would probably also want to install
remember-diary.el, as it provides integration with Diary mode.

Both of the people who hold copyright on those two files have already
assigned changes; John Wiegley has assigned changes specifically for
remember.el, and Sandra Jean Chua has assigned changes for Emacs.

Let me know if you would like me to install remember.el and
remember-diary.el into Emacs, and I will clean them up and check them
in.

Yes. As Michael Olson already said, org.el can interact with
remember.el in ways that make remember.el very useful to have.

Definitely. You can have a look on
http://www.newartisans.com/blog_files/org.mode.day.planner.php to see
the use of remember.el in connection to Org Mode.

I think it is worth installing. I use it with org. If it gets in I
will not have to maintain a local copy anymore.

Done. I also cleaned up and imported the Remember Manual.

It would be great if someone could add a chapter to the Remember Manual
on how to integrate Remember with Org (or even just a pointer to the
appropriate chapter in the Org Manual, if it is already documented
there).

It is documented in the Org Manual, see
