You can customize the variable `mode-line-format' in order to change the
position of `mode-line-misc-info', e.g.:
(setq act "Indic")

(setq-default mode-line-format

(:propertize ("" mode-line-mule-info mode-line-client
mode-line-modified mode-line-remote)
