How do I do the same thing in Linux? Is there something that redefines the modifier keys at a system level? (i.e so that they would work as described above even in a terminal session? It seems that Linux should have the capability to reconfigure a vanilla keyboard to work in this fashion: bottom key row -- super alt ctrl ctrl alt super hyper This would go part way toward making modifier sequences more ergonomically feasible.
