Hello,
I am trying to install emacs on my Solaris machine. I
followed the steps given in FAQ step 7,
(http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/emacs-faq.text) and
when I issued the command "make", it gave me the
following error message
make: Fatal error: Don't know how to make target
`../src/epaths.h'
Current working directory
/export/home/user1/Emacs-21.2/emacs-21.2/lib-src
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `lib-src'
I am just wondering if you can tell me what am I
suppose to do now.
I would really appreciate your help.
Waiting for an early response.
Best regards,
Hashim

Did you type "configure" before "make"?
See the file INSTALL in the distribution for full instructions how to
build and install Emacs.
