 of Fri Mar 16 2001 on porky.devel.redhat.com
configured using `configure  --mandir=/usr/share/man
--infodir=/usr/share/info --prefix=/usr --libexecdir=/usr/lib
--sharedstatedir=/var --with-gcc --with-pop --with-x-toolkit
i386-redhat-linux-gnu'

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

I ran emacs without a .emacs file
I ran the following code in a lisp-interaction buffer:

(require 'ange-ftp)
(ange-ftp-get-file-entry ".")
(ange-ftp-get-file-entry ".")

When the second call to (ange-ftp-get-file-entry ".") is made, the
following message occurs in the minibuffer:

Should never happen. Please report. Bug ref. no.: 1

I was also able to reproduce this bug on my windows version of emacs-20.7
