Subject: Should changing `isearch-resume-in-command-history' to nil purge isearch entries from history?

Message-ID: <MEEKKIABFKKDFJMPIOEBOEJMDFAA.drew.adams@oracle.com> (raw)
Question -
If a user changes `isearch-resume-in-command-history' to nil (e.g.
customizes it), should the command history be immediately purged of any
existing `isearch-resume' entries?
An argument could be made either way. I'm thinking that probably it would be
good to purge it, as that would correspond more often than not to the user
intention. This is particularly pertinent if the user uses savehist or in
some other way saves the command history across sessions. WDOT?
[No, not before the release, in any case.]
