Message-ID: <FC3DA3DC8D4AD311AB910020352A8FDC0BC62D4C@eagle.midas-kapiti.com> (raw)

Some time ago I asked emacs-pretesters about Emacs with Exceed.
Exceed 6.1 & 6.1.1 on W2K frequently crashed for me, particularly
(though not always) when using Emacs 21.
No one who replied was using this version of Exceed, though some were
using 6.2 and 7.0 without problems.
I upgraded to 6.2 a few weeks ago and have no problems since.
I mention it in case you think it useful to mention in PROBLEMS: Exceed
6.1 might be a bit flaky.

Hi all,

Is anybody out there using Emacs-21 with Hummingbird Exceed?

Exceed crashes several times a day when I use an Emacs-21 pretest. It
never crashes when I use only Emacs-20. It's bad enough to prevent me
from using Emacs-21 for general use. I'm using Exceed 6.1.0.0. FWIW, I
see pixel droppings in Emacs-21 with Exceed (in the toolbar and
modeline) and other redisplay glitches.

Send me a reply to me only, if you prefer, and I'll summarise.

Simon.
