Please close the bug. FWIW, my recollection is that `C-x r l' was trying to determine if each bookmark's file was accessible, but I now don't see that in the code, so I think I was mistaken. My point was that `C-x r l' should just display the bookmark, without ensure that it is still valid - but I think now that that's what it does do. So please close this - sorry for the noise.
