This is a serious but perhaps difficult question. What is it that leads people to post about other topics in a thread that is meant to be about a very specific topic? I'm hoping for specific answers, not vague ones like "getting distracted" or "carried away by a thought." Those do happen, but I would expect them to happen regardless of what interface is in use. If it is true that something about email conduces to this, we ought to be able to figure out concretely what it is. And then maybe a concrete change in email usage might make it less likely. -- Dr Richard Stallman (https://stallman.org) Chief GNUisance of the GNU Project (https://gnu.org) Founder, Free Software Foundation (https://fsf.org) Internet Hall-of-Famer (https://internethalloffame.org)
