Okay, I call that different, but fine. So essentially you suggest to include the current contents of the splash screen in the wizard? The wizard is not the splash screen. I'm suggesting that a link to selecting vanilla emacs as your default, or some other theme is to be included in the splash screen; so Emacs behaves the same no matter if you have .emacs or not.
