You are judging these platforms based on convenience. We have other ways of judging their practices -- based on ethics and how they affect free software. GitHub has done great harm to our whole community by encouraging people to post programs with no licenses (thus nonfree) and to be sloppy about indicating licenses. We grade it as unacceptable. GitLab is better but still not entirely good. I have not heard of Gitea before so I have no opinion. I will ask the FSF to evaluate it.
