Do you think anyone who did not want to
show disrespect for Microsoft would use the abbrevation "shit32"?
Don't forget the Stevens Hoboken Institute of Technology,
which people somehow don't reduce to an acronym.
And there was the String Handling Interpretive Translator,
which was generally referred to as "String".
