    RefTeX consists of eleven Lisp files.  It might not be a bad idea to put
    them into their own directory.

I would not make a subdirectory for just 11 source files,
because I am concerned that would make too many subdirectories.
I looked for at least 20 and preferably considerably more than 20
to make a subdirectory.
