    The point is not that AppleScript functionality can be replaced by
    dbus on Mac OS X, it is that dbus provides roughly analogous
    functionality on free platforms.

"Roughly analogous" is means you see some similarity in what can be
done with them.  I will take your word for that, but it isn't enough
to judge the answer to whether it is objectionable.  I need more
information.

One question is, do most apps on MacOS have _the same_ Applescript
capability that has been put into Emacs?
