Project leads have to face the world. I will not choose future Emacs maintainers based on their willingness to work in that particular way. Any future Emacs maintainers, will choose the tools that fit their styles and their lives, just as I choose the ones that fit mine. It is fine to suggest tools for use to use, but don't go beyond suggesting. You must take no for an answer when that is the answer you get.
