Subject: too long for one line Local Variables in Files
Date: Sun, 11 Jun 2006 05:07:07 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <E1FpAfj-0004R7-SC@jidanni1> (raw)
The info node "Local Variables in Files" should mention how to use
more than one line to set the same variable.
E.g., how to say
<!-- Local Variables: -->
<!-- compile-command: "f=central.html; grep ^[0-9] $f|sort -nc && perl -F, -alnwe 'next unless/^\\d/; print if ($F[0]/.0125)=~/\\D/' $f" -->
<!-- End: -->
but not use lines more than 80 characters long.
I tired lots of methods, all getting "Local variables entry is missing
the suffix".
emacs-version "22.0.50.1"
