Since I don't use gnus I removed the gnus dir and I noticed that
tramp depends on format-spec, which is provided by gnus.
Thanks for noticing this.
format-spec is a clean small feature. We could move it to subr.el.
Does anyone see a reason not to?
However, format-spec-make does not appear useful to me, and tramp
does not use that. So let's not move that.
