Hello,
 GNU Emacs 21.3.50 (Latest CVS) build fails on W2K using MinGW32 gcc
 compiler.

cmd>gmake bootstrap
....
....
Saving file e:/emacs/emacs/lisp/loaddefs.el...
Loading vc-cvs (source)...
Key sequence M - g uses invalid prefix characters
[1] + Done(134) ?
  956   Abort   ./../bin/emacs.exe
gmake[1]: *** [autoloads] Error 134
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `E:/emacs/emacs/lisp'
gmake: *** [bootstrap-gmake] Error 2

Try this patch:

    cd /usr/local/src/emacs-cvs/lisp/
