But more seriously, the question remains: do we obsolete code only when
it's superseeded by other code, or there are ways to obsolete code that
supports old systems (tools, operating systems, whatever) if we think
it's probably not used anymore?
We can call something obsolete when we have positive reason to believe
it is *not useful* any more.
