Something like this:
(defun my-backward-delete-word (arg)
"Delete backard ARG words.
ARG is the numeric prefix arg (default 1)."
(interactive "p")
(let ((opt (point)))
(backward-word arg)
(delete-region opt (point))))
Bind it to some key.
