Then launch M-x terminal-emulator RET =96 and maybe look into a recent =20= thread on the screen utility. I don't think GNU Emacs has built-in support for serial, parallel, =20 USB, FireWire, and other ports. Serial communication can done with =20 Kermit, for example.
