After replying, I realized that's actually the = kind of string that I thought was weird when %d=3D1:

Packages to install: 1 (...), proceed = ?

Here, "Packages" should be = "Package", shouldn't it ?

Whereas

Number = of packages to install: 1 (...), proceed ?
is always = correct.
