After replying, I realized that's actually the kind of string that I thought was weird when %d=1:
Packages to install: 1 (...), proceed ?
Here, "Packages" should be "Package", shouldn't it ?
Whereas
Number of packages to install: 1 (...), proceed ?
is always correct.
