And I've just found that the "x" button on the toolbar acts as an okay
replacement for C-g when inside minibuffer.

That's too bad.

It might be handy to have an Emacs-specific keyboard, with whole
sequences (such as M-x/C-x/C-c/C-h) assigned to single buttons.
