That section talks about the "%" constructs used as placeholders in the
modeline, that are replaced by useful information (buffer name, column,
etc.). They are similar to % formats in C's printf().

So %-Constructs is correct.

100% agreement.  I checked what this reference does in the manual, and
it gets me to the right node.
