Is there a reason for this and a way to stop this? I have emacs 24.1 on one system and 23.3 on the other. It does it on both but both contain ubuntu. <div><br></div><div>I have backups and autosave set to go to my .emacs.d/ folder. I can&#39;t seem to see why these are created or how to stop. Even running emacs -q they are still created and seem like a link to the system. Here is what it shows in dired:</div>
