AFAIK, no other language use a shorthand-like approach to implement
namespaces. That's perhaps not without a reason.
All of the catastrophical grep problems you and others insist on so much apply equally to other languages' systems. That's just a fact, so this particular argument of singling out shorthands comparatively is probably the most absurd one so far.
