Hi all,
while I really appreciate ido, when I have to switch from a file let's
say that is into /foo/bar to my home directory I cannot insert any
more ~/, because ido prevents me to fully delete the root directory
(/) from the minibuffer. Is there any smart way to switch to my home
directory without having to traverse /home/luca?

Thanks,
Luca

You can type ~/ (even without deleting any character, but it also works
after deleting "everything except /" as you describe) and ido will go to
your home directory.

Great, it was just an extra slash ahead!
