I think that more than the async install and download, I like the fact that once I hit `x` in the package manager after choosing what to install/delete, I can just sit back and wait for the process to complete neatly by itself without needing any more input and without popping up any compilation windows and such. It's good to see a nice summary message at the end to know what the package manager did. "Never was in a stable build" is a good criterion.
