I upgraded to 26.1, found ps-ccrypt stop working.

it can decrypt file, but can't save change.

got such error:

Did you try to byte-compile ps-ccrypt using Emacs 26.1?

Iʼm curious: emacs will transparently decrypt eg gpg encrypted files,
including prompting for passphrases etc. What's missing in that
support that means you need ps-ccrypt?

Robert

I'm using win, I know there is gpg for win, but ccrypt is lightweight, I
don't encrypt/sign emails and other files, so haven't tried gpp yet.

Then please try to figure out which "compiled function" is the one
that signals an error. I thought it was write-region, but that
accepts 7 arguments with no problem. Could it be that you have some
advice or some other customization that changes how
ps-ccrypt-write-region works?

In any case, I think this should be reported to the maintainers of
ps-ccrypt first.
