I've been prompted to ask this because of the recent Org merge discussion. Maybe 2 or 4 releases as a minimum per year with less major changes in each? That would have made the concerns in the Org merge thread moot, wouldn't it? It's even possible to have a 1 or 2 weeks merge window with 4 weeks of stabilization and no other merges. To some on the list this may seem familiar from other projects they contribute to.
