 I wrote earlier with positive feedback about character folding, but I didn&= #39;t express an opinion about what the default should be.=C2=A0 I'm no= w ready to cast my vote for having it on by default.

My reason is that I think many users are likely to find character folding u= seful, but they are unlikely to discover that it exists if it is not on by = default.=C2=A0 I have read the claims that character folding in its present= form will be viewed as a bug by speakers of certain languages.=C2=A0 But I= think the possible benefits to others outweigh the possible harm done to t= hose who initially think it's a bug.
