Version 0.09 of cpio-mode has been uploaded to github (
https://github.com/dlewan/cpio-mode).

This version has a find-file-hook and instructions on how to invoke
cpio-mode automatically. cpio-dired-do-chmod/chgrp now retain marks. And
there are lots of little bug fixes.
