Subject: package(s) download problem
Date: Tue, 9 Mar 2021 22:15:28 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <BYAPR06MB5880E9D5F5551E0197238DF3BC929@BYAPR06MB5880.namprd06.prod.outlook.com> (raw)
Is there something wrong with some Melpa packages recently, or is this a new Emacs problem:
On macos with Emacs Version 28.0.50 (9.0) I'm getting errors like
Error (use-package): Failed to install elgot: Package ‘elgot-’ is unavailable
Error (use-package): Failed to install company-lsp: Package ‘company-lsp-’ is unavailable
First, what is with the trailing "-" on the package names as reported in the error messages?
Second, going to melpa.org, why do neither of these packages show up in the site's built-in search tool although both package github descriptions instruct getting the package from melpa?
