There might be other top-level menu terms that should also be in the index. Also, shouldn't the history of input to `i' be added to the search history, so you could immediately try `s M-p' to get `s standard error'? The two histories appear to be independent, but I'd think that entries searched for in the index would also be useful in the search history.
