I'm trying to learn semantic (not cedet necessarily), but I couldn't
find a single place explaining one one can get started with it and get
it working.
Much of the documentation available are tied to cedet, which makes it
harder to learn semantic alone.

Can somebody provide a clear, working example of how to make use of
semantic APIs for a programming language?

I've read:

http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/semantic/Introduction.html
http://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/HowSemanticFulfillsThoseNeeds

thanks.
