If you're trying to grep an external file, with an external tool, it's hardly an Emacs problem. You could work around it by loading the files into buffers and using Emacs functionality (with you reject), or using Emacs to convert the files and search with the external tool (which you reject), but other than that, how do you expect Emacs to help? =C2=A0 =C2=A0 Juanma
