I really think you know: - Alt-TAB is very important, at least on w32. It switches application (or rather application level window). - Alt+Letter (or Alt and then Letter) is used to open menus. The Window key is of course also important, but: - The most common use of it is to open the Start Menu. You can do that with Ctrl-Esc too, at least on w32. - Also, on other platforms Emacs commonly seem to bind the Windows key. - On other platforms it is often used
