In my case, there is never one, FWIW.  I.e. the following never
happens deliberately.

  ** new entry

Nor this.

  * target
  text

  ** new entry

So in principle it's OK to clean it up for users like me, in case you
decide to make that optional.  I'd enable that.

In any case, again, capture is superb.  Safe and fast.
