Hi,
I would like to load a color-theme when I start emacs in X11. I've put
this in .emacs, but it won't work.
(require 'color-theme)
if(window-system
(setq color-theme-is-global t)
(color-theme-midnight))
How can I load this theme when I start emacs?

I don't use color-theme, but I believe this is what you mean:
(require 'color-theme)
(when window-system
(setq color-theme-is-global t)
(color-theme-midnight))

I have
;; color-theme
(when window-system
(require 'color-theme)
(color-theme-initialize)
(setq color-theme-is-global t)
(color-theme-deep-blue))
;; /color-theme
at the very end of my .emacs file. Without the initialization the them names like color-theme-deep-blue are unknown.
