Hello there,

I'm trying to set up emacs on my NT machine, but I can't make it read and
execute my .emacs file.

	(insert (getenv "HOME"))
gives
	%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%
...which should expand to F:\, but presumably emacs doesn't expand NT
environment variables...
Unfortunately I cannot change my HOME variable setting, as it is hardwired
by my administrator.

Thanks for any workaround you may suggest.
Regards,
Giulio
