frame-char-height returns big value on recent lucid builds. 33 in my
env, but 14 in previous builds.

18 here in a Debian build from today, so no change neither in the
visible character height nor in the value reported.

I supoose you only report this from a GTK build and observed the
change in a Lucid build.  Correct?
