Subject: delete-matching-lines should check for readonly buffers before the fact
Date: 16 Jul 2002 18:17:12 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87y9cc5653.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)
I have been victimized again by emacs. This time I did M-x
delete-matching-lines. Ok, so then it prompts me for the regexp. OK,
I give it. Next thing you know it's like "HA HA Sucker, readonly
buffer!!! Knew it all along but just wanted to see how dumb you
were". I looked down and indeed, I had issued the command to a
readonly buffer.
