when I export as HTML, "connectivity" appears in subscript.

The temporary solution for this is to enclose your link in [[...]]. The
best solution would be to protect plain links from any conversion.
Otherwise, conversion of "_" depends on org-export-with-sub-superscripts
and (locally) on the option #+OPTIONS: ^:t.
