Hello
is there a way to set this to non nil so that I can edit an info node
then reset it back to its default nil, I tried but it does not exist.
thanks

The name of the variable is Info-enable-edit:
,----[ C-h k e ]
| e runs the command Info-edit
| which is an interactive compiled Lisp function in `info'.
| (Info-edit)
|
| Edit the contents of this Info node.
| Allowed only if variable `Info-enable-edit' is non-nil.

Please, what are the pros and cons of doing such
a thing (rather than directly editing the info "source"?)
Thanks,
David
