Are you sure you want to go down that slippery slope? Sometimes it is better to conform to the environment than it is to make the environment conform to you. Once you start re-defining keys, it can quickly become a headache. That being said, there is ample documentation on changing keybindings. Take a look at global-set-key and of course the emacs info manual..
