I think the development on the Rmail mbox branch stopped. As I am working on the EasyPG support for Rmail, and getting more familiar with the Rmail code, I would be glad to revive this branch. But since I was not part of the previous rewrite effort, it is quite difficult to get an overview of what has been done so far and what still needs to be done.
