I can't reproduce this with the latest CVS. Are you still seeing this
problem?

If you want to visit a file or switch to a buffer, and you use tab completion
but it fails, a [No match] is printed in the minibuffer. If you then press
C-g, former CVS versions of Emacs would close the minibuffer. However now, you
have to press it twice, or wait until the [No match] is gone.
