Emacs has a lot of power but that power does not matter to most people (I believe). They don't need the power. Surely Emacs's power matters to me. Thank you all! So, in my opinion Git has just the kind of power that matter to potential DVCS users and that's why it got popular. It's just my reasoning, though. It's probably so that people who like Git tend to explain that it got popular because the software is good. On the other hand people who don't like Git tend to explain that it's not about Git's quality but rather a network effect and general coolness aspect of the choice (Hey, Torvalds uses it!!!!!!). That's how we humans explain things. Good things are popular because of reasons worth having. Bad things are popular because of worthless reasons. --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJRWxjrAAoJEHGdadMkU5RQPa8QAKASxlytQioY3VnSfLrZ0P9b cXoHb5/Higr0PBoy8HudMuTLxXweOMBLKa7BmhuezFS/+7cUNqZN8IA5QDlKNGD9 DbFrCSzBpiAhvwiZMLpabQ7RivFcgvnZfv2xMrBmHN8GiUOguUZnWx3+YGwEVC2A oymcSnYm4jaleLeuKrZUvRedr8brgAE1LRR6aFu1Mv3bbGN45mUvTnm7BWtRx6eH 7BU1G/bacoe/NQhcXLKe9Nf2sERyeJ/OmYLHd/2pNfGGvrIaATCBzy6hQgcNvfwO Zg1WpEBfXgXzwI8SrE8hfqed64Oh4e8ibxRdMVJ99XNixqIZn7MMPGOG/eVUvtC3 U8XSaL8+wykanan8EytEEV6oDdIdFtBYZC3+0/lh+6LhSN62vN7ZF4nrwBz/QUiP lpbXB3yeeSiOefUbouVg6yIF3ddT6NalO2xrHI7mlF8Gocsfq/51D67iOHQjJXNs 41jg/dsAD6U8hKel32ndZTyFikDY5gsUyzLFSitTBJkLZWoIeByn8Tw7FOVB/7j6 VTcj1f1PeGHfVpMZ6EUCvgWq+ZSsz2A7ZdBsiDbXc5VKuI3UGQ3nK0Z65+7cMr3c /fgdZ7e3dWvwGXaxd2/Niry5cjFPxyq2HZoCh79FMBwHDWMvRuxAq4VOkO+wnG9a c48Yz0K9B4bO91fb6rjg =zQlr -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=--
