Please use `call-process` with `shell-file-name` and > `shell-command-argument` instead. Good to now, but I've scratched the flymake-gcc-heroic-unescape function for now. It would be nice to have some portable version of this though: a function taking a string understood by a certain shell and breaking it up into arguments suitable for a shellless make-process.
